Sea-diment

At the dawn of the millennium I worked for a web design firm quartered in the Weston Centre in downtown San Antonio. The corner office overlooked the Greyhound bus station where we noticed a small tree growing in the tar. I remember being fascinated not only by the tree, but the birds outside the window that would pause in flight, sometimes scream, though not a whisper made it past the glass. It was then that I learned the name of concepts that that had piqued lifelong interest: wabi-sabi and Ma (negative space).
